why join
Talk Business Networking?

By becoming a member of Talk Business UK, you’re joining a networking community with over 15 years of experience in creating meaningful business connections, and we’ve learned exactly how people network best.
Unlike large, crowded events where conversations are rushed and you leave having only spoken to a few people, Talk Business focuses on smaller, more targeted networking that gives you time to be heard and the chance to build genuine relationships.
We run a wide range of networking events, including sector-specific gatherings where businesses from the same industry, and those that work closely with them, can connect in a relaxed and productive environment.
Our ethos is simple: bringing people together around a table, often over great food, to create real conversations, trusted relationships, and long-term business opportunities.
There are no awkward pitches, rigid rules, or pressure-filled formats, just the right environment to meet the right people.
Because people do business with people they know, like and trust. We create the space for you to connect. The rest is up to you.
Please look through the FAQ's below and hopefully you will find the answer to a query. If not, please contact us.
why do I pay membership and sometimes an event fee?
Your Talk Business membership gives you access to the network, events and opportunities across the all the regions we cover
.
Some events also include a separate meeting cost where hospitality is provided. This is simply the direct cost charged by the venue and is passed on to attendees.
Why? This keeps membership affordable while allowing us to host events in a wide range of quality venues. We believe in supporting the venues we use, so that they benefit from the event financially.
We always make this clear before booking, so there are no surprises.
why can I only attend two events before joining?
We offer guests the chance to attend up to TWO events, before becoming a member, so you can experience the network and decide if it’s the right fit for your business.
After two visits, membership is required to continue attending. This keeps things fair for our paying members and helps maintain a strong, committed business community built on consistency and trust.
We know that the real value of networking comes from regular attendance and relationship-building over time.
is membership for me personally or for my business?
The business is the member.
This means different people from your business can attend different events, helping your company stay visible across the network without needing separate memberships for each person.
This gives you much more flexibility and better value.

what is UNO Networking?
UNO Networking is the next step for members who want a more focused level of business connection and join a 'single-seat' form of networking.
While Talk Business UK gives you access to a broad regional network, UNO offers a smaller, more consistent group where deeper relationships and stronger referrals can develop over time.
It’s not a replacement for Talk Business, it’s a progression for those ready for a more curated networking experience.
how do you join an UNO Networking group?
Joining an UNO Networking group is simple and designed to help you build strong business relationships.
Our single-seat networking groups meet every two weeks across the region, with one exclusive place available for each business sector in each group.
To keep your place, regular attendance is important. If you can’t attend, you’re encouraged to send a colleague or visitor in your place.
If you’d like to join, contact us to check if your industry seat is available in your preferred group.
If there isn’t a group near you, we can help you start one in your area.
